What exactly is Maximum Orchestra?

A music training app. It gives you a structured programme of exercises, adapts it to your progress and counts what you actually play. It installs from your browser in thirty seconds, with no store involved. If you have a teacher, they can connect to it and send you their own programmes.

Is my instrument supported?

Yes, whichever it is. Maximum Orchestra imposes no instrument-specific content: it is a working frame — goals, exercises, durations, regularity — that you fill with what you are working on, or that your teacher fills for you. Piano, guitar, drums, voice, wind or string instruments: the app makes no difference between them.

I'm a complete beginner — is this for me?

Yes. You set your goal, the time you have and how many days a week, and the app builds sessions to fit: what gives you trouble comes back more often, what you have mastered comes back less. It won't replace a teacher for your very first steps — but it gives a frame to those learning alone, and it carries the lessons of those who have a teacher.

Do I need a teacher to use it?

No. The app stands on its own: training programme, sessions ready to play, progress tracking. The link with a teacher is an option, and it only switches on if the two of you connect.

Where do the programmes come from?

From three places. The app's library: programmes written by teachers, sorted by instrument and by level — beginner, intermediate, advanced. You add one to your own and use it as it is. Your teacher, if they are on the app: they send you theirs, cut to your measure. Or you: you create your categories, your modules and your exercises, and build exactly what you want to work on.

Can I leave a particular module out of my program?

Yes. In the Program tab, open your program: each module has an eye icon. The eye lets you pick which modules you want to work on in your session. The ones you don't pick won't be offered. You can switch them back on at any time.

If I change program, do I lose my progress?

No. Everything is saved. You can change program, create another, go back: your history and your progress stay intact.

I'm a student — what does it cost me?

Nothing at all, if your teacher subscribes and has linked you to their account: you get the complete app, free, for as long as the link lasts. If you practise without a teacher, it's the pay-what-you-want subscription — €3, €7 or €12 a month, the amount is your call and the app is the same in all three cases.

What exactly can my teacher see of my practice?

Only what you do with their own programmes: the days you played, your real playing time, how many sessions over the last thirty days, and for each exercise they sent you, how many times you worked on it and finished it. The rest of your practice — your own exercises, your own sessions — never reaches them. And as long as they haven't sent you a programme, they see nothing at all.

What happens if a student leaves me, as a teacher?

The seat frees up and you can give it to a new student without paying again. Careful: if you don't plan to reuse it, remember to remove the seat from your teacher area — otherwise it stays on your subscription and is charged the next month. The student keeps their account and their progress.

I'm a student — can I become a teacher?

Yes. In Settings → Teacher area, you switch on your teacher hat. It's one or the other: you're either a student or a teacher, never both at once. Your account and your progress don't move — if you turn the teacher area off later, you become a student again and get everything back.

One important point: if you're currently linked to a teacher, becoming a teacher cuts that link for good. The access they gave you stops, the programs they sent disappear, and they're told you've left.

Why isn't the app on the App Store or Google Play?

Because the stores take 15 to 30% of every subscription, on top of a yearly developer fee. On a €3 subscription that simply doesn't hold up: we would have to pass it on to you. The full explanation is on the home page.

How do I install it on my phone?

You open the app's website in your browser and add it to your home screen: on iPhone through the Share button in Safari, on Android through Chrome's install banner. The step-by-step guide, device by device, is here — video included.

What happens at the end of the 14-day trial?

Nothing is charged: the trial asks for no card. When it ends, access to the paid features simply stops — no invoice, nothing for you to do. Your account and your history stay put, and you subscribe the day you feel like it.

Is payment secure?

Yes. All payments go through Stripe, one of the world standards for online payment (PCI-DSS level 1 certified). Your card details never pass through our servers and are never stored by us.

Can I stop whenever I want?

Yes. The subscription is monthly and can be cancelled in one click from the app, with no notice and no reason to give. The month already started remains due — there is no pro rata refund — and nothing is charged afterwards. As a teacher, you remove a student seat the moment a student stops, without waiting for the end of the month.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Settings → Cancel my subscription. You're taken to Stripe, where you cancel in one click. No email to send, no reason to give. You keep access until the end of the period already paid. Your progress is kept if you ever come back.

What happens to my data?

It is hosted in Europe, never resold, and there is no advertising in the app. You can export your data or delete your account whenever you want, from the settings. The detail is in the privacy policy.

How do I delete my account and my data?

From the app: Settings → My data. You can first download a copy of everything the app knows about you, then delete your account for good, in two clicks. Only your invoices are kept for ten years, as accounting law requires. If you have an active subscription, cancel it first.
